Every weekday we take a look at what's happening in music news. Check out the headlines for today, here!
- Everyone knows that Todd Rundgren is a political rock and roller, but apparently he feels the need to remind Trump supporters to not attend his shows. Rundgren says “If I had the power, I’d say: If you’re a Trump supporter, don’t come to my show, because you won’t have a good time." Todd was just in Burnsville at the Ames Center a few weeks ago.
- Alice Cooper just had a fun show in Nashville last night! He was joined by original band members Michael Bruce, Dennis Dunaway and Neal Smith. If you'd like to watch it, you can right here! But don't forget to check Alice out when he comes to Minnesota this summer for two shows. You can check out ticket info on our Concert Calendar.
- Speaking of reunions, looks like hurt feelings are being left in the past for Van Halen! In a new interview, Sammy Hagar makes the possibility of both lead singers (him and David Lee Roth) taking the stage at the same time a very real thing. Nothing has been set in stone yet - but we'll keep you updated!
- A few weeks ago people were speculating to see a Led Zeppelin reunion at Desert Trip this year. Well, those hopes and dreams are now obsolete – we just got word that there will not be a second Desert Trip at all. Last year’s Trip included The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Neil Young, Roger Waters and The Who. The cheapest ticket you could buy for 2016 was about $200 and it sold out in three hours.
