Every year I go through my closet and storage room and find stuff to donate.  I don't really understand how this stuff piles up every year, but it does seem endless.

Today is Giving Tuesday, so it's time to go through your stuff and donate it, wherever you would like to donate.  It doesn't just mean your stuff, either; you can give in the way of your time, money, food and yes, your stuff.  And according to a recent survey, they thing that gets most people to donate is a request from family or friends for a specific cause.

What cause do you usually donate to, if you do?  Apparently people usually find one cause that is meaningful to them and will generally donate to that same cause every year.  Others tend to donate through peer pressure.  If you are asked to donate on the spot, people usually will.  Especially if it's the "rounding up to the next dollar" type of donation or just adding another dollar amount to something that you are already purchasing...this is an easy way to donate.

If you are looking for something or somewhere to donate today think about the Jolly Trolly.  Metro Bus, along with Royal Tire, North Central Bus Equipment and Townsquare Media, has teamed up with area grocery stores and will be around the St. Cloud area this week taking donations from 4-7 today through Friday.

Today (Tuesday) the Jolly Trolly will be at Cash Wise East.

Wednesday- Lunds/Bylerly's

Thursday- Coborn's on Benton Drive in Sauk Rapids

Friday- Coborn's in Sartell on Pine Cone Road

Happy Giving Tuesday, and the season of giving.
