Van Halen Featured On 80’s At 8 With “Unchained” [VIDEO]

"Unchained" is off Van Halen's fourth album, 'Fair Warning' and released in 1981.

The middle of this song you can hear David poke fun at an executive that walked into the studio while they were recording it ("that suit is YOU...").

David added commentary on a separate track while the band played the instrumental parts, and his comments were sometimes added to the mix, i.e."Everybody Wants Some" is. The voice that says, "Come on, Dave, gimme a break" is their producer, Ted Templeman.

It's also believed this is about the time frame that Eddie started to hate David, few years down the road, out goes David in comes Sammy.
