80’s @ 8 Featured Video

Those of us who have gone through it know... it can be debilitating. For ten long years, we were in the thick of it, not realizing the damage it may have caused. Now, thanks to Kevin Bacon, we can come out into the light.

Yesterday, SONY released a new video for Sly and The Family Stone's classic Everyday People, that has fused together primarily stock footage available from various video storehouses.

If there ever was a signature song for Lita Ford, I would have to say it's, "Kiss Me Deadly."

This song brings out the sensitive side of  David Coverdale, who wrote the song with  John Sykes (guitarist). This song finds Coverdale waiting by the phone for his girlfriend to call.

The song's title is stemmed from the phrase "For those about to Die..." which comes from ancient Rome in which gladiators would fight to the death in the arena before each match, one of the combatants would always yell out to the high rulers: "Those who are about to die salute you."

"Bringin' On The Heartbreak" was the band's second release on their album, 'High N' Dry'. Oddly enough the song was covered by Mariah Carey.
