An article was recently posted in Health.com about how men and women sense things differently.   women tend to have the advantage. Really?

  • Women see more colors.  That's why I go to the cosmetologistand ask what my color is (gets them every time).

Women tend to see more shades of red, green, yellow, and blue.  Men are  more likely to have color blindness in some form.

  • Most women have a finer sense of touch. Essentially it's all about the size of your fingers.  The smaller fingertips tend to be more sensitive.  Men on the other hand (no pun intended) usually have bigger fingers.
  • Women are better at hearing noises that are high-pitched.  As they get older, however; they can't hear low pitch sounds as well as men.  Guys appear to be five times more likely to suffer hearing loss eventually in life.
  • Women have a better sense of smell.  Women have almost 50% more neurons in the part of the brain which helps distinguish between different odors.  Maybe that something to do with picking a mate.
  •  Women have stronger palates.  Women have more taste buds on their tongue.  Which means they're better at distinguishing  bitter, sour, and sweet.
