Dear Baxter, I Put My Girlfriend Through School, Now She Wants to Break Up

I helped put my live-in girlfriend through college, and now that she has her degree, she wants to break up! She got loans to pay for part of her school, but she only worked part time while we both lived on my income for years. Technically, I should get a cut of her earnings, but I’m willing to settle for a bigger share of our assets when we split things up. I think I’m being more than fair.
